Bild20 Comfortable Adoption of 2D-/3D-Building-data
 
You can import the 2D architect’s plan via current data formats or design by accurate measure with the comfortable RUKON-features. The 3D building model will be generated from the 2D data or with the 3D building features, or be imported as 3D DGN-file. With these features you even design three-dimensional special constructions. For installation schemes an expanded library with symbols according to DIN 1946 is available.

You arrange air outlets, fire-protection-dampers etc., unrestrictedly in the building and connect them via a three-dimensional line-plan. After the allocation of air quantities to outlets, RUKON calculates the propotional and total air quantities. With the help of pre-set restrictions (such as max. velocity or max. R-value) the system creates a first design of the duct system automatically.

 
3D-Design of the Duct System
 
For the design RUKON offers an extensive equipment of items and features. It comprises more than 160 square and round duct components, duct fittings and device components with variable dimensions and features for arranging, inserting, changing and deleting items. More complex features enable you to move and duplicate duct-runs, to arrange items and adjust duct dimensions automatically. The system suggests standard values from editable catalogues. During the replacement or filling up between two duct components, RUKON immediately shows you appropriate duct fittings with correct dimensions and fills up with standard lengths. You can display and deal with different views and perspectives at the same time. Changes will be shown at once throughout all views and each perspective. Parts defined by DIN appear alternatively as DIN symbols or as design representation as for instance when fire-protection dampers appear with the dimensions of their damper blades.

After having allocated the required air quantities to the inlets and outlets, the pressure loss calculation will process automatically. In the course of this, the deposited material data and the Zeta values will be taken into consideration just as the pressure loss values and the position of the duct components to one another. The finished calculations contain the pressure loss of all duct-runs, the gate dimensions, the adjustments of the control elements and the pressure to be throttled back at grids and branches.
 
The integrated acoustics calculation according to VDI 2081 calculates the room sound level caused by flowing sounds and permits the optimum positioning and dimensioning of attenuators.
 
RUKON calculates the increase and decrease of temperature or heat-quantity at the outlets according to the pre-settings of insulation values and ambient temperature

 
Bild08 RUKON Automatic Creation of Bills of Materials and Bills of Quantities
 
calculates surfaces and insulation surfaces according to DIN 18379 and ÖNORM. The output of bills of quantities and materials occurs sorted according to different criteria. You select the VOB format or determine your own formats according to your requirements. For the fabrication RUKON supplies you with bills of materials with graphic representation of duct components. The drawings can be made in different scales and formats. With each alteration of technological values the texts will also be automatically adjusted. Values of technological calculations can even be displayed in form of diagrams for better clearness. In addition, RUKON transfers the data of duct components to manufacture to the common NC-production-systems.
